On 6 February 2019, DROPS 2019 Policy Study Workshop cohort met with Dr. Nasir Andisha, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss and gather insights from Dr. Andisha on how policy-maker and more specifically the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers and reviews the following key questions on the importance of policy analysis and studies in Afghanistan:
a. Why and how policy research and policy study is important from the institution’s perspective;
b. To what extent can policy research and studies help in informing policymaking institutions;
c. To understand the dynamic nature of the policy community in Afghanistan; and
d. Identifying key lessons from policymakers drawn from their expertise and experiences in policymaking.
