Bishnaw, established in 2020 by the Organization for Policy Research and Development Studies (DROPS) in Kabul, Afghanistan, is a digital platform dedicated to capturing the real-time experiences and opinions of Afghan women and girls across diverse provinces. The name “Bishnaw” translates to “listen” in Dari, reflecting the platform’s mission to ensure that Afghan women’s voices are integral to national and international discussions on peace, security, and development.
July 31, 2025 – A coalition of Afghan civil society organizations is proud to announce the official launch of a People’s Tribunal for Women of Afghanistan before the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal (PPT)—a landmark effort to confront impunity for gender persecution in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.
