The second edition of the WPPJ includes articles by 9 Afghan women authors, peer-reviewed by regional scholars, exploring the challenges and opportunities confronting Afghanistan’s economic development in the Decade of Transformation. The journal examines several economic priority areas and reform planning set by the Afghan government such as encouraging private investment, job creation, revenue generation,agriculture and rural development, building better governance, regional economic integration, and increasing women’s role in the private and public economic sectors, to help it move towards achieving self-reliance.
