WPPJ addresses the gaps in strengthening democratic governance in Afghanistan and provides recommendations on how the National Unity Government can plug these gaps as it transitions into the Decade of Transformation. The journal identifies an array of issues that have hindered the consolidation of democratic governance in Afghanistan through a rigors examination of specific MDGs underscoring their challenges and providing policy recommendations on how to address them in the decade ahead. It highlights issues that range from health care, HIV/AIDs pandemic, education, security, corruption, civil service reform and regional cooperation.
The publication of the Peer Review is the first public policy journal in Afghanistan that is authored by women and reviewed by international scholars.
